School-Age Services
This program helps parents of school-age children choose an appropriate school, prepare their children for school, and help their children achieve in school. In addition, the college program offers assistance to parents of college-bound children, as well as continuing education opportunities for employees. The following services are included:

The Homework Hotline is a free service you or your child can access by calling 1-888-733-3702 to speak to a "live" teacher. Phone lines are staffed with fully certified teachers who are available to assist students in elementary through high school with homework problems in the standard subjects of Math, English, History, and Science. The Homework Hotline is available during the traditional school year, Monday - Thursday, from 4 - 9 pm. Your child will be asked the following questions:
• Union Local # (If the caller doesn't know to say Local 1590, they will be asked which Plant their parent works in. If they don't know which Plant, they will be asked in what city they live
• What grade they are in
• What subject they need help with
• Have they used the Homework Hotline before
