UAW 35th Constitutional Convention Coverage!

Gimme Five!

The Gimme Five program was launched at the 35th UAW Convention in June 2010 by President Bob King, the newly elected International Officers and Regional Directors, and the UAW Local Union Delegates. Gimme Five recruits and engages members in a new and innovative mobilizing program to organize, build power and win justice for our union and community. When we stand together, we win. To learn more about the program click here!

'GimmeFIVE’ will give us the power we need to build a stronger UAW  (6-24-10)

Tell Your Story on IAmTheUAW.org

In order to create an online community where all UAW active and retired members can share their stories, the UAW launched a new interactive web site: www.IamtheUAW.org. The goal: To encourage UAW members to submit their stories. Some are telling the world what they, their local or their local committee is doing in their communities. Others discuss issues important to them and their communities (such as fair trade, health care or workers’ rights), while others share their views on what being a member of the UAW means to them.
